Monarch Butterflies

3rd and 4th Grade

Mrs. Phillips class has been tracking the Monarch Butterfly migration from Canada and North America, to Mexico City, Mexico. They have been studying and learning through journeynorth.org Internet projects. Students made individual butterflies and a class butterfly to send. When the real Monarchs begin migrating back North the students in Mexico will send the students different butterflies from either Canada, US, or Mexico to keep. The Monarchs will begin to migrate to our students in May. For more information you can go to journeynorth.org.
